“What is the point of school if it does not teach you how to read? My second grade teacher wanted me to stay back and my third grade teacher told my mother I may never attend college. In fifth grade Mom enrolled me in ARC and my path finally took a turn for the better. I began to catch up with my classmates and by the end of the year was reading at a fifth grade level! I no longer felt pain in attending school, but pleasure in its place. I maintained a 4.0 GPA in high school and now I’m at UC Berkeley and doing well!”

“Three years ago, I took reading lessons at ARC that were more like playing and fun than work! I am now in the 5th grade; my lowest grade is a B+ and reading is my favorite subject. ARC has probably changed my life. Reading is great and the ARC teachers get the treat of showing kids that. Both my brothers, age 5 & 7, are going there now. I hope they have as good a time as I had. The same goes for future ARC students who will hopefully be devouring books just like me in no time!”
