Every child deserves to be taught in a way that works for them.

Reading Strategies
for Success

We have over 60 proven multi-sensory strategies to teach children to read. We personalize every lesson for each student. We’re trusted by professionals, with nearly 50% of our students referred by a pediatrician, neuropsychologist, or school resource specialist. With our powerful Reading Revolution® methodology and passionate, highly-trained instructors we’ve helped thousands of students become confident readers.

“I have referred students to the Active Reading Center over the past 17 years. This program is effective with students with learning disabilities, most notably dyslexia, and results in significant improvement over a relatively short period of time. Children respond well to the multi-sensory interactive teaching methods at the center.”

3 Simple Steps to Change Your Child’s Life

Our gentle approach to assessment allows us to understand your child’s reading challenges and how we can best help them. It includes:

  • An assessment of reading and literacy skills
  • A demonstration of our approach to teaching reading
  • A parent/guardian consultation with the evaluator
  • A detailed written report

Most students get instruction 2-3 times a week during the school year and daily during the summer (M-F).

Over a few months watch your child’s excitement build as they grow in confidence and become
eager readers mastering reading tools and strategies that work for them.

About the Active
Reading Center

We understand the embarrassment and anxiety that children experience at school when they struggle with reading. We know it makes all subjects frustrating because they all require reading. We understand because our founder was a struggling reader herself.
